A Ride to a Familiar Eatery

Well this was a quick trip that got planned at the last minute. Kasey's mom had been in town, for a farewell, I rode over to the same O'Charley's that Kasey I dined at the first time together to meet with her mom, kids, and friends.

I had to stop along the post office, so I meandered my way through town after running the errand. I took Tenth Street into town, then followed East down to Mass Avenue. Michigan would take me outbound of town. Once outside of 465, I went south to US 36. I headed a little further west, and arrived at the eatery.

The large group had a good time and a good meal, and I headed back out for home. I started on US 36 heading east back into Indianapolis. When Rockville Road ended at US 40, I took The National Road east through town and out the side of town the sun rises on first. Near the edge of town, I arrived at home.

Less About the Riding

Thursday, May 3, 2007 So you probably all know by now that the first Thursday of the month means another Cruiser Club Meeting. For those of you who just want to hear about the riding, here it goes. I arrived home, hopped on the bike, and took off west on East Washington Street into, and through downtown. I took Holt Road north to 16 th , and then 16 th further west to High School Road. I was second to arrive at McGilvery's , just behind Mr. Wade. After the meeting, I headed out north on High School Road to 38 th Street. Heading east on 38 th street leads me to I-65 and then I-70. I get off of I-70 at 465 on the east side of town, heading south until the Washington Street exit. Now, on to something else. Riding with Veterans

Saturday, November 10, 2012 I have a riding friend that I hadn't ridden with for a long time. Actually, both he and his wife ride, and I always enjoyed riding with them, and the company when we stopped. He had emailed earlier in the year to set up a ride, but we just never got it planned. He hit me up on email once more, and we planned to ride together in the Veteran's Day Parade in Indianapolis. Now, I am not a Veteran, but my riding partner is, serving in the Air Force during the first Persian Gulf War. She is disabled from what she experienced there with the oil fires and such, and so it is an honor to take her and have her participate in a parade in her and other's honor. We started at the Speedway American Legion, coolly numbered Five Hundred, and it sits just across Georgetown Street from the famous oval. Riding for the Fallen

Sunday, September 9th, 2012 So after a summer of riding in temperatures in the triple digits, rain that could be seen on a microscope, spring arrived in Central Indiana at the end of August and beginning of September. After a Friday Night monsoon, the numbers dropped, and we were heading out at 9am on this 60 degree morning. Kasey and I headed through town, passing the Fair on the Square, and on to the Kroger on US 36 where it meets the old US 36. Several bikes dotted the landscape of the parking lots for Kroger, McDonald's and the gas station. A group of four of them looked the people we were meeting. I passed them in the parking lot and rode on over to fuel up The Pearl. We returned and met the group.
